The Story

Like many engineers, I spent years surrounded by technology without giving much thought to the electromagnetic environment it created. Routers in every room. Mesh WiFi nodes on every floor. Smart devices on every surface. The connectivity was excellent — the sleep, not so much.

When I started measuring the RF levels in my own bedroom, what I found was eye-opening. The pulsed signals from a mesh WiFi system just a few feet from my bed were generating significant power density readings. After building a simple Home Assistant automation to intelligently control my WiFi at night — keeping security intact while shutting down everything else — the difference in sleep quality was noticeable within days.

That experience led to a realization: most homeowners have no idea how much RF their bedrooms produce overnight, and there was no simple, turnkey service to fix it. I founded EMF Shield to bridge that gap — combining engineering precision with a beautiful, simple dashboard that anyone can use. One slider. Four levels. Complete control.
